Data Deletion and Retention Policy
Last updated March 2026. This page explains how GreenLightBudget retains and deletes data.
Retention purpose
GreenLightBudget retains only the information necessary to provide household budgeting functionality, including transaction history, linked account metadata, bill settings, budgets, and household configuration.
Deletion requests
Users may request deletion of their account and associated household data by contacting support. We will process deletion requests within a commercially reasonable timeframe.
What may be retained temporarily
We may temporarily retain limited operational or security records needed to prevent abuse, investigate errors, comply with legal obligations, or complete deletion safely.
Linked account data
When deletion is requested, we will remove linked household budgeting data and disable stored financial access tokens associated with the account where applicable.
